HOMA BAY, August 2025 — The Devolution Conference 2025, running from August 12 to 15 at Homa Bay National School, is in full swing under the theme “For the People, For Prosperity: Devolution as a Catalyst for Equity, Inclusion, andSocial Justice” . The event provides a critical forum for showcasing how devolved governance and infrastructure development can drive inclusive growth across Kenya.
Notably, Recon has actively participated in the conference, reinforcing its support for infrastructure development—especially in transportation, utilities, digital connectivity, and public amenities. Recon’s involvement aligns with the conference’s sub-theme: “Re-engineering County Governments to Accelerate Development and Close the Socio-Economic Divide“.
The conference’s agenda includes thematic days covering Good Governance, Human Rights & Social Justice, and Financing Equity & Inclusion—all directly tied to the infrastructure narrative through investment in equitable public services, inclusive planning, and financial mechanisms that enable development.
With over 10,000 delegates, 500 exhibition booths, and 15 pavilions, the event is a hub for innovation and infrastructure solutions. Through exhibitions and side events, Recon engages with stakeholders, showcasing infrastructure initiatives designed to enhance service delivery and economic opportunity in devolved units.
